Green Policy

We’re concerned about the environment and the impact we (human beings) have on it. Our tours are just about as green as they can be. Here’s why:
• These are walking tours. The only greenhouse gases we produce is the hot air coming out of our mouths. We won’t mention our love of chili and its effects.
• The Tour Guys use bicycles and public transit in the city to get to the tour start locations. Steve in Vancouver doesn’t even own a car!
• We operate online from our homes, without an office. The internet rules.
• We don’t print much in the way of promotional materials, and what we do is on a small scale in limited quantities, distributed only as needed.
• Any such printing is done locally – nothing is shipped from overseas.
• We drink a lot of water, and it’s all from the tap. We encourage our guests to do likewise and avoid bottled water because it requires energy to make, package and transport the plastic bottles both before and after they are filled and again to recycle them. Water is something that you can get right out of the tap… for free!

We are a growing company, and as we grow we will always strive to be as green as we can be. If you have any ideas about how we can reduce our impact on the environment even more than we do, we would love to hear from you.
