Sailboats, Sand, and Seagulls on Toronto’s Waterfront

Toronto’s Waterfront has in recent years been revitalized. Once a forgotten and empty industrial wasteland, the Waterfront area now features new parks, a man-made beach, and refurbished warehouses that house art galleries, craft and textile workshops, and ceramics and glassblowing studios.

On this hour-long tour, learn about the history of Toronto’s relationship with Lake Ontario, see historic architecture, and discover how this waterfront area transformed over the years from the gateway to the city to an industrial center to abandoned wasteland to a relaxing recreational area beloved by locals for its shops, eateries, and green spaces.
