Taste of Downtown Yonge: Sip & Stroll

What can a cup of coffee, tea, juice or something bubbly tell us about Toronto? Quite a lot, actually.

Sip & Stroll is a Sunday afternoon tasting walk exploring Downtown Yonge through the drinks we drink and the cultures that brought them here.

Over the course of the tour, we’ll visit local restaurants, cafés and businesses to sample a variety of beverages from different places and traditions. With each sip, we’ll dig into a bigger story: Where did this drink come from? Who drank it first? How did it travel? And how did it eventually find a home on Yonge Street?

Led by an experienced Tour Guys guide, we’ll explore how migration, trade, immigration, changing tastes and Toronto’s multicultural communities have transformed something as everyday as ordering a drink.
